PC Users:
This link has been tested ONLY with Windows 2000 and XP using Internet Explorer v6. If you are using a different version of Windows, a different browser, or a different version of Internet Explorer - the link may not work properly.
You must make the a one-time change in order to logon to the Girard Schools Server: -
- 1. Launch Internet
Explorer, and open the [Tools] menu, select Internet
Options.
2. In the Dialog box that appears, locate the 'Advanced' tab
3. Locate and insure the option titled "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatability)" is checked. (see screenshot) -
Next, in the Address Bar, Type
FTP://FirstName LastName:PassWord@216.49.231.11 -
**NOTE: You MUST move the file from the server to your desktop BEFORE attempting to open and work with it. When you are finished with the file, you must move it back in your folder, replacing the old file.
