REFINISH THE GYM FLOOR

You are the president of The Last Straw Finishing Company. One of three companies that you own that refinishes or replaces gym floors. Girard would like a price on replacing thier existing gym floor. The floor measures 90 feet by 40 feet. You know that from past experience that the labor cost for replacement is $.50 per square foot to tear up the old floor and $1.10 per square foot to install the new floor. The tile that the school has picked is a birds eye maple pattern and covers 1.5 square foot per tile and cost $1.50 each. You also know from past experience that you will need to figure in an extra 15% of the tiles for waste. The finish the school has chosen is Gym Mix 332 polyeruathene. It comes in a 5 gallon bucket. Each bucket costs $175 and covers 800 square feet. The school has to make the decision by the end of the hour so you must have the figures done and turned in to the instructor by the end of this hour.
